When customers living in Washington, DC decided to look for a new home in Maryland, their concerns about Covid-19 led them to house hunt on-line. After taking virtual tours and reaching a purchase decision, they discussed closing options with their title agent. An in-person closing was eliminated due to concerns about the pandemic.

May 28, 2020 Update

London was on lock-down due to Covid-19. United States embassies were working with limited staff and non-essential notarizations could not be processed. An airman stationed at a United States military installation in England had no local options for executing a stateside real estate transaction.

Because of our digital closing capabilities, Passport Title delivered. Our team used remote online notarization to facilitate the successful refinance transaction of a Virginia property for owners stationed in England during the stay-at-home order. We are honored to have served our United States Air Force client and their family while they serve our country.

May 18, 2020 Update

The government of Pennsylvania responded to the spread of Covid-19 by executing an Emergency Disaster Declaration and ordering the closure of non-life-sustaining businesses. These measures prevented many real estate settlements from taking place in-person, bringing a halt to important transactions.

Because of our digital closing capabilities, Passport Title delivered. Our team used remote online notarization to continue in business and facilitate successful purchase transactions of Pennsylvania properties during the disaster emergency. Travel was not a possibility, and the options for executing documents on this archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean were scarce.
